Close the Church Year after worship on the last Sunday of March if possible. Place money received after that point into the 2026-2027 church year and alert your treasurer and secretary well in advance.
Annual Reports are due April 10. Gather statistics early and watch for any correction requests from the District Secretary or district team after reports are submitted.
Arrange board votes to recommend district-licensed applicants or renewals. Complete each candidate's recommendation form. Local minister candidates should register with the Board of Ministry, complete credential history verification, and finish a background check before a local license is issued.
Appoint a local Nominating Committee according to the Manual. Encourage NMI, NYI, and NDI to complete their nomination process in this window.
Conduct the Annual Church Meeting with Elections. Give public notice from the pulpit at least two Sundays before. Complete the Church Directory and Certificate of Election as soon as possible after the meeting and no later than May 1.
