Maximizing Easter

Easter is, of course, the most significant day in all of history, alongside the day of the birth of the Messiah whose resurrection we celebrate.


Jesus is risen!

What an awesome message we have to proclaim! The message that God's love was demonstrated for all of us on the cross, and that His power was demonstrated to us through the empty tomb! But not only is Easter an awesome day to celebrate, but it is also a season when people are receptive to the invitation of believers in the resurrection to join them in a service of celebration.

It is this openness to the invitation of a friend at Easter that many churches make the most of to reach out to their friends and family members. We have contacted a few of these churches and asked them to share with us a little about their thoughts, plans, and heart as they seek to maximize Easter. Some shared a paragraph or two, others gave us copies of letters that they have sent to their congregation members in preparation for Easter Sunday or a prayer focus leading up to Easter, and a couple shared a detailed rationale and plan. In addition, Keith Wright provided an idea that he picked up in recent years entitled "Be one of...".

Below you will find a series of files for download. Just download, read, put some teams together and MAXIMIZE EASTER! Some of the files are in MS Word format and can be adapted and used as you please. Others are in .pdf format and will need to have portions copied and pasted for editing for your context. The files are here for your use, with no strings attached and no credit needs to be given.

However you use these materials, do your best to share the Good News of resurrection with as many as you can during this Easter season.
